turbo shaft play help!!!!!!
 

i took apart the thing in front of my turbo and when i wanted to power spray my turbo's to get the oil off, i wanted to touch the fan blade and it was moving. it only moves up and down but not to the point that it touches the side housings. what should i do. i had a vaccume problem and was getting 3psi max and when i finished the hose job, i wanted to pwer spray my engine and noticed that it was like this. can i still get the 10 psi that is suppose to come stock on this car or will it not reach 10psi. i just need 10 psi of boost. will these turbo's do it when i start my car? (will change the turbo's but will they last for 2 months max at 10 lbs of boost???????)

The shaft will move some ,that is not the way to measure the bearing play . IF the wheel is not touching the housing at all then you should try to run it . If you remove the turbos and measure the play correctly ,then you will know . If the wheel did touch then you would need a rebuild for sure . Try it out and see if it will last .
