turbo rebuild recommendations?
 
i'm in northern virginia, was wondering if anyone knows a good shop that can rebuild my turbos

Good luck, It would prob. be a better idea to get a really nice set of used ones.

BNR doesn't like to rebuild them.... your best bet is to buy new.

Lots of horror stories and failures trying to rebuild stock twins, lots of folks have tried the rebuild route.

So you can either try and get a set of good used ones (a crap shoot), or buy a new set.

If you're buying a new set I'd get the BNR's, they're both cheaper, more reliable (I think $800 cheaper, last time I looked they were $2100 I think), and support more boost.

Only problem running more boost with BNR's is that the stock systems actuators (and from what I have seen the solenoids) don't support much over 11-12 psi. If you look at the FSM it even states in several places that anything over 11-12 psi can damage the actuators. I don't know if this is true but I'm running modest power levels so haven't pushed the stock system to find out.
