Turbo Questions

I posted this in the Single Turbo forum on Friday, but didn't recieve any response.

I suspect my stock twins have seen their last day.. With that said, I'm planning on switching to a TO4, but I have a few questions.

1. What stock parts must be eliminated to accomedate the TO4?

2. I have all the parts, minus an aftermarket FC/ECU. If I run the same stock boost, will I still need an aftermarket FC/ECU? I ask this because this is my everyday driver. (I'm planning on getting the APEXi Power FC when I get money.)

3. If I maintain the current emissions units, will I pass testing with a TO4? (CT Emissions = 220HC and 1.20CO)

Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks

I think I can help with that one. From what I've read and been told, with a single you NEED and aftermarket tuneable ECU. The boost pattern is so much different, even at stock boost, that you'd blow the motor from running way to rich, then way to lean (at transtion).

in order to jam a TO4 in there you'll have to remove air pump. When air pump goes all othere emission stuff is uselless. So no, you won't pass emissions like that.

I was afraid of this.. Looks like I have to gather up more nickles and dimes from the couch again. Thanks.
