Turbo Leak?

Hello everyone,
Once again, I need your help. Is there any way to easily tell if your turbo piping (from/to intercooler, etc.) is cracked or may be leaking without a boost guage? And if I did have a boost guage, what kind of readings would tell me that I had this problem? If I did find out I had a leak, how would I be able to pinpoint the origin? If you could help me with these questions, I would be very greatful. Thank you all very much,

Tyler

if your totaly stock and had a boost guage, it should read 10-8-10. if you weren't getting those readings then you would know you have a boost leak. a reading of 10 then a drop off at transition (4500rpm) means primary turbo is okay, there is a leak on the secondary one. but if it doesn't boost to 10, then that means you have a leak on primary.
easiest way to check the piping is to take it all apart and look for cracks in it. the first place to look is the coupler coming off of the turbos going to the intercooler piping. it is known to crack. nick

One last thing - our local library only has the Haynes manual for the FC. I know the engine stayed the same (pretty much, right?), but would there be any huge differences between the diagrams given in that book, and what I would actually be going up against? You guys are a great help, and I thank you for your time.

:) Tyler
