Turbo gasket identification

Hey guys,

I’m in the process of porting the wastegate and attempting to replace every seal and gasket I remove. After searching through various threads, parts lists, and other websites for hours, I am still unable to find the last gasket I need. It is located between the wastegate flapper and manifold on the hot side of the front turbo (see attached pictures for reference). I've looked through Atkins, Pineapple, Mazdatrix, Rx7store, and other websites with no luck. In fact, I can't even find a parts diagram showing the gaskets between the turbos…

The old gasket is in decent shape for being used, but I'd still prefer to replace it with a new gasket to avoid tearing it down again if this one fails. Does anyone know if this particular gasket is still available, or if there's even an exploded diagram of the turbos? It seems unusual to be having this issue, as I've been able to find every other gasket or part until this point from Atkins or Mazda.

Thanks in advance,
Tanner

To my knowledge, it is not sold separate from the turbo assembly, that is why there is no part number. These are pretty hardy gaskets and I have reused mine in the past. I would recommend simply reusing yours or buy another one from someone who has a burnup or trashed set of used twins and hope for a better one from those used twins.

I might actually have one of these stashed away. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Yep, they aren't for sale for whatever reason. But, yours looks fine - I have re-used those "in-between" turbo gaskets many times over the years and have never had a problem.

Make sure the mating surfaces are clean and the bolts thread in easily so they tighten all the way up. You'll be fine.

Those are not available as far as I know. If they are not cracked they should be fine to reuse. Otherwise grab them from another set of turbos.

That's what I was afraid of, thanks for all the information! Dguy, let me know for sure, that would be awesome. Otherwise I'll just reinstall this one when the rest of the parts arrive in a few days.
