Question Turbo Ctl Actuator - no pressure w/Power FC ECU

Okay, I just purchased a Power FC and cut the obligatory wires on the harness for the emmissions stuff. Now I have no secondary boost. It was working perfectly before I made this ECU change. I checked the pressure chamber by pulling off a hose and no pressure. I removed the Turbo Ctl actuator and it works with a manual vacuum/pressure pump. The check valve works fine too. The charge control is working properly. I did all reliability mods including vacuum lines.

I can only guess two things.

1. My solenoids under the UIM are bad.
2. I may have cut the wrong wire on the ECU harness.

Any expert advice guys?

You can always swap your stock ECU back in and see what's up. Is the PowerFC used or new? If it's used, reset it back to the base map - the previous owner could have turned the sequential control off.

Or, you cut the wrong wire .

If you haven't seen it, grab a copy of my PowerFC FAQ -

Double-check the wires that you cut to be sure.

Thanks Dale. I used your FAQ to reset the Power FC to the base mod map and went thru the idle learn process. Everything is great except the 10-6-4 boost pattern. I will try swapping out to the stock ECU and see if that helps.

Well, I swapped out the ECU to the stock ECU and the car ran like crap. Partly because the idle setting was not the same and I got Engine codes for the ACV and bypass wires that I cut for the Power FC. So I put the Power FC back in and it ran fine except for the low boost above 4500 rpms. I replace the turbo ctl solenoid and checked other hoses under the UIM but still no change in boost. Next I put a new check valve on the pressure chamber and now I have pressure again and better turbo response. However, my pattern is still 12-6-4. Since boost pattern was fine before the ECU upgrade, I know I do not have vacuum tubing or solenoids incorrectly plugged in. The KOKO test by AutoSport shows the CCA and Turbo Ctl actuator working properly. So I am still mystified on why I lost secondary boost?>

Since I have Damian's Hallman Pro manual controller set up I will try adjusting them. Maybe I need to set them differently with the Power FC compared to stock ECU? But I am running the Base mod map on the Power FC so I wouldn't think it is that much different.

One thing I have noticed is an odd squel sound when I let off the throttle at 6000 rpms like pressure from the secondary turbo that isn't going into the IC.

Any other ideas guys?
