Which turbo is better, T-78 or T04S

Does the XS T04S or Greddy T-78 give more HP? What is the safest boost to run with one of these turbos? And at that boost which one would produce more horsepower?

anyone???

depends on what u are going to use it for

t-78 big turbo which gives full boost around 5-6000 rpm. not very streetable, extreme turbo lag. 500-700 hp range

to4s litle smaller, barely streetable. give full bost around 4-5000 rpm noticable turbo lag. 400-500 hp range

i wouldn't worry about the turbo lag though, if your going single, you probably already have a free flow exhaust and ported motor, which should help.

out of those 2 id go with the to4s because i use my car a a daily driver, and couldn't wait for the 6000 rpm boost, after all hawaii is cracking down on streetracers HAHA LOL. nah, but really with a t-78, it's only good for the strip when u stay in the high rpm range and have a N2O helper. and 450 hp is plenty for the street.

is there any other turbos that give full bost around 4-5000 rpm and has 400+hp? I kind of like the Greddy kits, is there any other greddy turbo with less turbo lag and give full bost around 4-5000 rpm? maybe a Greddy TD06S. And what about the HKS twin turbo upgrade kit? i forgot what its called.

please replay ASAP

It is not just the turbo but a combination of all the components on your car and the tuning. Just because you slap on a big turbo doesn't mean that you will get the big power.

XS Engineering has shown how their T04s can produce power. One of their cars put 465 rwhp on pump gas and 497 rwhp on mixed(some C-16) on a ported motor with their T04S.

Tony from RotaryXecret7 put close to 440 rwhp on his XS TO4S. It is all about dyno tuning. With out tuning you have nothing.

The t-78 is a good street/strip turbo, but is kind of laggy after talking to a few people who have experienced it. The t04s is suppose to produce equivalent hp and kick in a little sooner. The t04e is similar to the apexi rx6 turbo, probably the two best turbos for the street capable of producing 450rwhp. The apexi hits full boost just before 4000rpms. To really take advantage of a single turbo, especially the smaller one like the apexi, it is good to have a streetport to maintain a good powerband. Otherwise it feels like the cars runs out of breath around 6500rpms or so. And like the other reply said tuning plays the biggest part.
