Trying to install Miata thermoswitch. Someone gorilla-torqued my pos. alt. terminal.

I'm trying to install my Miata thermoswitch, but to get at the sensor, I need to remove the alternator. I've got the hinge bolt loosened and everything else loose, but whoever put the positive alternator terminal back on overtorqued it and when I try and take the nut off it turns the whole cable which cracks the cheap plastic shielding. I hit it with some PB Blaster, but it still won't budge.

I just had to vent.

I find impact guns work well in this situation. I just did the alternator on a friends 300Z and had this problem.

How'd you get it JONSKI? I always have problems with overtorqued bolts.
