Tranny drain bolt and rear end bolt sizes
 

I'm having trouble finding the correct socket size for the tranny drain bolt, it's that really biggish silver bolt that's on the very bottom of the tranny. I was told it was like a 23mm or something?

And also for the rear end I can't find it either, and using pliers don't help because the space is too small to fit pliers up there. I was told this socket size is some weird size.

I need to know the sizes for these two bolts.

BTW, for those that followed my spark plug wires thread we found the problem and it was a damn hose, the little tiny ass boost hose that connects up to the boost sensor, it just fell off and the clamp wasn't even holding it down so thanks to those that helped. :)

Do not use pliers! I'm pretty sure the diff bolt is a 22 or 23mm, can't remember about the tranny.

Haha okay I won't. I probably won't get a good enough grip and will probably strip the damn thing. But yeah I think 22mm is too small though. Any others wanna take a shot at this?

A 15/16" will work for the trans drain bolt.

i'm pretty sure it's a 24mm. I Actually went and bought a 24mm socket just for these darn tranny/diff bolts.

Good on you about the plug thing. I was thinking I'd given really bad advice about the di-electric grease. I was actually going to pipe up with the MAP hose, but didn't cause I'm lame. Anyway, good on ya!

Getting back to the topic, two people have claimed using either a 15/16" socket or a 24mm socket will work...... So I think I might just get both and mess around with it......
