I feel like car power is loosing on high rpm (6-7k RPM)
Any solutin for that?
Is HKS Twinpower any good? easy to install?
My car is moded.. dp,mp,intake,Ic, fuel pump
Just replaced new spark plugs.. (NGK 9s)

Just curious, I don't see an upgraded computer in your list... Do you have one and just left it out or do you not really have one installed?

do you have a boost guage? If you do, maybe you can see what boost patterns your are getting and diagnose the problem from there.

I was just about to say that, but you know they do freaky shit over in Japan anyways ;)

I do have after market ecu (XS) and did check boost pattern.. its just fine.. spikes lil sometime...

One of the problems I have heard of top end RPM breakage was ignition related. Loose and/or dirty coil connectors could be causing the ignition spark to fluctuate at high RPM.

Possibly, you may be running too rich top end, also.

FstFD3SPOWER Feb 17, 2002 09:56 AM

IT IS RUNNING WAY TO RICH !!!:)
What can i do? Where can i get the coil connectorS?

You better get the ECU properly mapped. The HKS isn't a solution bandaid, but it IS an east install.

FstFD3SPOWER Feb 17, 2002 10:07 AM

hmm.. where should i get it re mapped?
thanks alot flybye .

Did you call the shop where you bought it from? It's monday there now, isn't it? They should be open :D

FstFD3SPOWER Feb 17, 2002 10:16 AM

As far as I know, XS http://www.xs-engineering.com/asp/index.asp doesn't make their own ECUs Is it a Power FC ECU that you bought from him?

If not, I'd personally just email him and ask him EXACTLY where he got that ECU from. It wouldbe your best bet. To be honest, I really don't know if a modified ECU from one vendor can be modified by another..

Thanks alot man!

XS used to offer remapped ECU's just like Pettit, M2, etc.

No, an ignition box like that will not cure a mixture that is too rich. You need to get your computer remapped for your car.
