TONS of backfiring (especially when letting off)

So im getting a ton of backfiring and fireballs even.

Before you guys make comments i know i need 2 .. well 3 things at this point.
1. PowerFC+Commander + a Tune
2. Wideband

So i just installed my Apexi Intake and now when i start her up it is pops a lot. Then when i gas it and let off its the craziest amount of popping i've ever heard. I had stock intake box with K&N drop in filter.

I want to take it to get it tuned as long with the purchase of a powerFC however im worried that its just to bad to get there (PF is about 2hrs away)

Would installing an intake throw things off this much? It was perfectly fine before

Current "power" Mods are:
Cat-Back
Downpipe
Greddy SMIC
Intake(just installed)

I have supporting mods such as:
Nippodesno(sp) Fuel Pump
Koyo Alum Radiator
Greddy EBC (Set at stock boost 10psi)
AST

Hmmmm so anything besides "Get a Wideband and Get an upgraded ECU + Tune" that would be okay for the time being to at least let her be driveable outside of boost?

Get a boost gauge. I'm just kidding, I don't really know why the car would be doing that so I'm bumping this to see if someone can chime in and help you out.

Ridiculous amounts of back firing under all conditions (idling, WOT, decel., etc.)? Check to make sure your MAP sensor is connected at both ends.

After that, backfiring is normally too much fuel making it into the exhaust. It could be an ignition issue (not all of your fuel is getting burnt off inside the engine). Are all of your plug wires securely connected? Think simple. After you check all the simple stuff, see if somehow your timing settings got accidentally tweaked.

haha thanks. I do have a boost gauge.. and my ebc registers it lol.

besides that "get a tune" and "get a wideband" i'm wondering if adding the apexi intakes would normally cause this excessive amount of backfiring.

I can get sound/video clips if you guys want.

For you apexi intake guys, do you have any experience with this?

Ill check these when i get off first thing and then post what occurs.

i dont think just adding an intake would to that, backfiring is un used fuel igniting in your exhaust. an exhaust shouldn't just make you just run rich all of a sudden definitely check all of your censers. also check your cat just in case it just happened to go bad at the same time os you installed the intake. just my .02

Dunno what changed from yesterday.. but now she idles and rev's like a charm... i just went around disconnecting and reconnecting random sensors... pushed onto plugs... pretty much it..

looks like i may have a small leak of coolant... hmmmm or i over filled and it came out? anyways, thanks all again!!!
