Tips for bushing install
Anyone have any tips or advice on how to press the Superpro urethane bushings in the toe links. The urethane bushings have a lip on each side and they will not press in. Could I slit them down the middle like some of the other companies 2 piece bushings?
This is the kit I ordered: http://shop.jklre.com/products/fd-sp-bushings I got my old rubber bushings out with no problems, but I can't get the new ones back in. Any advice? Thanks |
buy a 20 ton press...they will go in

Not toe link related, but Superpro related. This thread talks about the Superpro diff bushings. Check out post #11.

install
On my lower front strut bushes,I used some pipe cut to half the length of the bush.A long bolt and big washers, use the pipe as a sleeve and the bolt to pull the bush through,Soap to lube it.Works great on the small bushes,And then use the bolt to pull the inserts through.
