throttle body question WOT?

So I was fiddling with the stock fd throttle body today and I noticed when I go WOT, the top 2 butterflies arent 100% open, I can still move it with my hand a little bit to make it completley WOT. I was looking around and didn't see any adjustment. The little linkage didn't have any freeplay. Everything seems fine, but my only doubt is that I can use my hand and make it a little more open

Bumping an old thread. I took my TB off and noticed the secondary plates were not opening all the way at WOT. The primary looked good but the secondarys were off at least a few degrees if not more.

Has anyone attempted to fix this?

Without running down and popping the hood. Isn't there an adjustment screw for that. I recall at least one adjustment screw for the double throttle.

I would guess that most people that have a problem with it removes it.

The double throttle is on the upper intake, he is referring to the butterflies on the throttle body.
I did a quick search and found this:

Before the search police come in and flame on, there is something I would like to mention that nobody ever seems to stress. When you use the advanced search feature, make sure you select "Relevancy" under the "Sort posts by" field. That should help out dramatically in your future searches.

Good luck and enjoy!

I'll relate some information noted in actual flow bench tests I have previously performed: 1) If the butterflies are within a few degrees of fully open, there is likely not much, if any, flow benefit to adjusting them; 2) In fact, flow may be increased in some instances due to flow bias introduced by slightly angled blades; and, 3) Removing the double-throttle control blades is much a-do about nothing--a pretty much a useless mod that has more feel-good benefit than measurable flow improvement (for all except maybe the true all out maximum-effort race guys).

I had the same issue. I braized the cam that opens them so it is 100% open at wot. It will affect tip in throttle because all three blades will move as 1 instead of slightly staged. I had play with the accel setting quite a bit to make throttle movements smooth again. Adjustments had to be done with a datalogit,as they were larger then the commander would allow.
