Three rotors and Three turbos
I was just wondering if it was possible to get a three rotor drop in, and then turbo the third rotar

LOL. Yes, it's possble. But it's not exactly common or cheap.
Now go do it and post dyno sheets and pics. I'm saving for a 4 rotor/4 turbo setup. Gonna move the radiator out of the engine bay and onto the roof to make space. Dave |
 :rlaugh:
 :rlaugh:  :rlaugh: There's your three rotor and three turbos^^ |
You would be talking a LOT of custom fabrication work, VERY costly and with limited or no benefit. Exactly what would the third turbo be used for? Higher boost than the other two could provide or what?
Just doesn't make a lot of sense to try it, is all. |
All the piping and runners and such would look like some sort of Rube Goldberg contraption.
I triple dog dare you to do it, and set the turbos up SEQUENTIALLY :-) |
No, you can only turbo the first 2 rotors.

It's been done. Racing Beat did it for their Bonneville FD run. It's definitely not a "drop in".

Dave I have never seen a turbo 4 Rotor... where would you get the essecentric shaft? (Granny's speed shop?) They are the only place that I have seen that sells or at one time sold a 4 lobe essecentric shaft. They are local to me but laughed in my face when I showed interest in a 4 rotor engine a couple of years ago... I don't blame them I was young. and asked questions without thinking... lol |
