for those of you with dirty tan interiors
 

you know, I've always had a problem with my tan interior getting all dingy and dirty. And I could never really get it clean to my satisfaction.

Today, I found something that cleans it to my satisfaction. I actually went to the store to pick up Meguiars Protectant Wipes, but I guess I picked up Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner Wipes instead.

These things kick ass. They made my door panels look almost new. It took the entire can of wipes to do all the tan interior panels, but what a job it did. It took a little effort on the door panels, you have to rub them fairly hard, but the results are worth it. In the back, when I swiped the divider piece, which didn't even look that dirty, it pulled up so much dirt that the wipe couldn't pick it up, it just smeared it around. Come back with a new wipe, and it's gone. Very clean..

It even got rid of that little dirt ring that goes around the edge of the top vinyl panel on the sunroof.

But then you have to use vinyl protectant, because I think the wipes dry the vinyl out a little.

Meguiars also has a leather cleaner, and a leather conditioner that really make a big difference on tan leather seans as well.

I will have to try out those wipes though.

i have found that armor all leather conditioner/cleaner works great (for the seats). it works as good as the commercial stuff that we used when i used to detail cars. if your seats are really dirty, put it on kinda thick, let it set for maybe a minute or so, then wipe it off.

also, for cleaning the doors and other tan parts, I spray some mild cleaner(windex works too) on the dirty area then take a medium bristled brush and scrub. takes the dirt off and doesn't hurt the finish, be careful though.

give it another 10+ years and it will magically turn to black interior :D

Ha, my interior was basically cleanish when i got it as in no big scratches or anything, but it was dirty as hell... like it had NEVER been cleaned... I'll have to try these wipes. I used some other cleaning products, and they removed a lot of the sutt, but its no where near my expectations.

This is what I use and it is a bad mofo. This stuff works GREAT on my tan leather seats.

Meguire's cleaner wipes, eh? I'm heading to autozone anyways so thanks for the tip, Martini. :)
