For those who ran their wideband through the Shift boot - Pointers needed

I have the Innovate LC-1 WB that I am installing today. I decided to go down through the shift boot and it is perfectly aligned to where the bung is located in my rx7store resonated MP (free plug :) ). Now I have read a number people talk about securing the cable for the O2 so that it doesn't come in contact with the drive shaft. There is really only one spot I can find coming off the trans to hook the cable to with a Zip tie.

How did you guys make sure your WB o2 didnt come in contact with the drive shaft?

Most wideband sensors come with 6'+ of cable so running into the passenger footwell area is pretty straightforward. Many people install the wideband controller next to the ECU and Datalogit in this area. The wire can be routed along the air pump line. Here is the location of my AFR controller.

The line comes through a hole I drilled in the passenger wheelwell area. The stock ECU harness hole above this can be used too, though I an running several sensor lines so wanted a separate route.

Yeah, that was going to be my first option (that is where I ran the old PLX that never worked), but the Innovate LC-1 has a large controller box that really doesn't fit anywhere. A number of people have gone through the Shift boot and they mention zip tieing the cable away from the drive shaft. I am just trying to make sure I do this Right.

I found that there is already a tapped hole underneath the tranny tunnel (I think it's for the heat shield) and along the transmission itself. I bolted down some hose hanger clamps and used those to guide the line away from other things. Works well if you want to consider having the bung on the end of the DP instead of the MP.

^Ah... perfect shot. The right hand side circle is where I have my cable coming down. I will have to find a way to make the sensor by the right hand circle keep the cable up tight and I should be good...

Thanks!

I'm not going to lie...each time I see Moconnor's PLX setup I get wood.

^ agree 100%
My first thought was "damn I need that..." then I realize I have other more pressing things to put into my money pit :)
