To those who have Powder Coated Housings...HELP!!

I'm in a bit of a dilema and was if anyone out there could lend a hand. I am currently rebuilding a spare motor that I recently purchased with the intent on possibly dressing up under the hood a bit by powder coating the irons a gloss black and either polish or powder coat the rotor housings the same color of the car which is CYM.

My questions is has anyone had any problems in the past with this and has it held up? I have seen many motors with red or blue irons but I wasn't sure what they were coated with or if they were just painted.

Not sure what type of coating to go with ie...powder, ceramic, polish, or paint? If anyone has any pics or experience in this matter and would not mind shedding some light on my little dilema I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Joe
