Those with BNR Stage 2s...how much boost???

I have a set of the Stage 2s and I'm not getting much more than 9PSI on the first turbo. It definitely doesn't build as much boost as the stockers on the primary did. The secondary does build boost well but I don't push them past 12.5PSI since I haven't upgraded my fuel system yet(on the way from Jason as we speak). They turbos are running in sequential of course. I have an open exhuast except for the stock cat. Using the PFC for boost control.

I wanted to see how much boost you guys see on the first turbo.

Thanks
Hoody

i doubt you will see much past twelve-thirteen or so....it takes time to get the first turbo to spool and as you get up there in boost you will hit transition.

i had a similar problem...had to swap out my cat for a midpipe. now i will hit fifteen lbs first turbo.

you will only push so much air thru that stock cat. though it could be your boost control settings....not enough prespool. have you been playing with this?

kwikrx7 had some problems with his original BNR Stage 2's. He was only getting max boost around 9-10 PSI (they were also non-seq). His second set were sequential and he was boosting about 15 PSI if I remember correctly. I don't think he had a problem with his primary not hitting full boost on the second set.

I have BNR stage 2 sequential and the boost doesn't kick in untill ~2300RPM instead of the stock 2k rpm.

But I do get full boost after that with no problems.

As a matter of fact it puts more air than the stock ones which ran the A/F leaner which made my FD to start knocking on stock maps.

these turbos have more of a single turbo feel to them.

It's kinda like the best of both worlds when u get sequential low end, but at high boost it pulls harder than the stock twins.

i can heard the blades "pulse"

hmmm...it's just strange that the stock turbos spooled up quicker and with more boost than the BNRs even though they both used the same stock cat in the exhuast. I'll see what happens when I put the midpipe in.

I tried playing with the boost and duty cycles with no luck. I even put the duty cycle on the primary all the way to 90% and it still didn't make a difference.

Yeah, I replaced almost all of them already. I didn't have any leak before the turbos went in. I had Rick install the BNRs and a downpipe and I trust his work, so I don't think a vacuum leak started anywhere.

OK, installed the midpipe and RB dual catback and still not a lot of boost on the primary. I don't think it's a wastegate problem because I get good boost control on the top end. Any ideas? Especially from those with the BNRs
