Thermoswitch needed with PowerFC
I am building the adapter plate for my electric water pump setup, and i cant fit the thermoswitch into it also. I have the other sensor in there, but not enuff room for both of them.
I took this image from "DALECLARK" hope you dont mind I got the Green Sensor in my adapter but cant fit the black thermoswitch. My question is can i run without this, i have a fan mod so they run 24/7 when the ign is on, and PowerFC https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...hmentid=224936 |
Hey! That's my finger! :)
If you run the fans all the time, what speed are they running at? If you use the PowerFC to set the fan speed, they'll just run at Low - the ECU has control over only one fan speed. You have a few options. First, the HKS fan controller. I LOVE mine. Total control over 2 fan speeds, with the third controlled by the AC (turn on AC, fans kick up one speed setting). Keeps the car nice and cool (80's deg. C) even in the hot humid Florida summers. You could also rig up a manual switch to activate that fan input when the car gets warm or what have you, but I prefer automatic fan control. Dale |
Both fans run High 24/7
I have no A/C system anymore So i guess i dont need it then. |
If you have the relays hard wired to bump the fan speed to high, the car is going to take much longer to warm up and the fans will take more abuse. If it's a track-only car, that's fine, but on a street car I don't know if that's the best idea.
