Thermal Flex radiator hoses

Has anyone ran into problems with these radiator hoses? I want to replace my upper and lower radiator hoses on my FD, but I don't want to run into problems using these hoses. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have a set from the group buy.

The "Thermo Flex" logo on the upper hose was printed on the side facing the airbox, so you cant see it.
The lower hose has the logo printed on both side, only they are printed upside down :p:

Other than that, they kick ass & look great. You should get the special hose clamps with them. Standard clamps will score/cut the hoses.

They are supposed to be stonger, but I thought they looked cool, being red & all ;)

Does this help?:D

I bought a set as well. They are excellent hoses, 4-ply silicon construction. At the price they are the best hoses out there. The Samco hoses are the only ones close, and I believe they are only 3-ply and they cost $50 more, if you can find someone that stocks them.

btw thermal flex recommends any stainless steel "constant torque" clamps.

I was very happy with my red set. The aesthetic value is what i bought them for, but they are much better than the O.E. hoses. They look great as long as you keep them clean.

The only thing that was a bit of a problem when I ordered was the wait time. My hoses came in two weeks late and the order wasn't correct. I'm sure that was just a fluke though. The customer service was pretty good.

CYM girl ,where ya been?

I bought a blue set on the group buy. I don't remember any logo on them? They have a slight purplish tint to them but you could get yours in yellow. I have regular stupid Mazda clamps :(
They are an exact copy of the OEM so there is no fitment issue.

If you really want to get really fancy then get the FEED braided stainless steel ones.

Those hoses are great.
I ordered a set in black for a stock look.
Not that you can really see them anyways.

Only issue is that they are a bit longer than stock.
I had to trim both ends of the lower hose to keep it from kinking.
They trim easily with a razor blade.

Definetly get 4 of the constant torque clamps in the 27-51mm size. They clamp well and won't tear up the silicone.

I recommend removing the abrasion sleves from the stock hoses and installing them on the silicone hoses. That will provide extra protection from any possible abrasion damage.

I also noticed that they don't shed rubber residue like the stock hoses did. The coolant stays clean and residue free.

Thermoflex Radiator Hose

For those of you with Thermoflex upper radiator hose and Greddy pulley kit, does the hose clear? If Thermoflex is stronger, I assume it's "thicker" than OEM radiator hose?

Can some one fill the spot light on this because my greddy pulley kit already come VERY CLOSE touching the upper OEM radiator hose.

Tx.

Timmy

:) Thanks for all the response. I have to look into the Feed radiator hoses.

I completely forgot about the pic, I'll try to get it scanned this week.
