Is there a good Driverside door pocket hinge repair that anyone has seen?
 

After being a unicorn without a broken door pocket, someone did me the favor of opening that crappy old plastic checking out the car and it disintegrated…

The front side hinge broke and so did the retention on the main body of the plastics…

Has anyone taken some effort to repair it where it is plausible someone that opens it would not destroy it?

Has anyone fixed that where it is operational, yet has a way to reinforce the area where it does not destroy the vintage plastics?

I never used it based on feedback, and essentially just considered it non existent, completely didn't even enter my mind to make a warning....found a phone number in the bottom of the pocket that has to be a decade or 2 old...

I know the Bubble Tech map pocket lid is first rate. It has a metal roll pin for the hinge and is SUPER durable. Benny actually handed me one a while back and dared me to break it - that's how strong it is.

It also looks dead stock with it installed. The cam on the lid is a little less aggressive than stock which helps as well.

This is what I did using a very small bolt laying around, had to drill a very small hole carefully:

Thanks guys, I think I am going to take a stab at a DIY repair and reinforce it with an epoxy putty and a removable screw, but because of the geometry, it may require further modification to make it a clean solution.
