Awesome seeing a SSM FD as the headline photo. Overall, I think some elements of the FD (16" wheels, antenna mast, squared-up popup lights) look their age, but the shape and flow of the body looks very modern. I had someone over the house the other day and asked what year the car was, and was surprised to hear that the R2 was a 94 (that old).

Most of that list I'll go along with, but the C4 Corvette is the definition of DATED styling. It just looks old.

I actually disagree with the majority of the list. I think there's a difference between "aging gracefully," and "modern looking." Related, not everything on that list is aging gracefully. I can't believe they put a C4 corvette in there.

Agreed. The only cars I agree with as still looking "modern" are the FD, the Elise, and the Supra (and even then the FD is pushing it because of the popups). Maybe the Range Rover, but that's just because they haven't updated that design in forever. "Unchanged" doesn't equate to "modern" imo...

The supra and rx7 look dated because I like the look of these cars. The new cars look horrible and all look similar in design. Hence the rx7 by looking good makes the car dated as most of the new cars look bad IMO.

I also like the BMW E46 M3 and M5 of those years, the recent ones don't look as good IMO. I also think many of the supercars look BLAH, all look the same or over the top aerospace ish. I like the OG original cars that set themselves apart from everything. Today most supercars cross over too much and look the same.

I think a lot of things peaks in the late 90's and early 00's with little replacing it on the back side. I am a very mechanical based, and the age of electronics is not that great to me. too much destraction and not enough meat. Hence why I like the rx7. I like simplicity, complexity rules today.

I only agree with the rx7 and supra from that list. Can't believe the selections. The nsx, Ferrari and bmw are next in line but still look dated

I agree on that the fd and supra are the top two. I do think the pop up light look horrifying when up. But I love the sleekness of them when down. I think with the 99 spec front bumber the car is just amazingly modern looking. I think we are missing a good led setup for the parking lights though. David Hayes made a set and I was absolutely blown away how well it looked and accented the lines of the fd.

If anyone is in that business if you can duplicate those and have them bright like an Audi you'd sell them like hot cakes.

I think the '84-'90 C4 non-ZR1 with concave rear and round tails still looks fresh. Clean, nice subtle compound curved surfaces, very taut and compact. No gimmicks, no nonsense. It does look "old" in the sense that it's not bloated like practically all cars are now.
MkIV Supra still looks like a potato to me, never found that car attractive, bumpy/lumpy/dumpy.
FD still looks sweet...

I might get crap for this, but I feel like no Corvette since the release of the C4 has aged well. The C5 isn't really that great anymore, and the C6 is STARTING to look that way, IMO. Give it time, and the C7 will likely follow suit. Though, I feel that the C7 will sustain slightly longer due to the more radical design.
