Tein Flex Z damper change

The Flex Z's that came on my car are pretty worn. At 60% stiffness the car feels boatish. I'm going to call up Apexi and see how much the (replacement) dampers are and then decide if I'll just get all new Flex Zs, or just swap out the dampers.

Question; to swap out the dampers in the coilover setup, will I need a spring compressor?

If you believe the Flex Z is blown, you should be able to simply replace the damper, you wont need a spring compressor, as you can simply remove the individual components as the spring is simply held in place by the spring perch, you would simply undo the lower lock ring, on the spring perch and rotate the spring perch downwards to remove the pre-load. you would end up doing all of this anyway because you have to physically remove these components off of the physical threaded shock body. It should be quite easy to do.
