T1 coil not firing
The 2 others are good. I tried another T1 coil but it still doesn't fire. There's power to connector.
Anyone has an idea? |

Tried checking for ground, without success. Tried on all 3 connectors, key on/key off...

Oh I just remember that the ground is another wire, it's not on each of the connectors. I'll check the wire with a multimeter. Where should I bolt it? It actually is plugged just below the T1 coil.

if I remembered correctly, there's a ground wire thats bolt onto the "rack" that bolt onto the engine. Check ground and make sure it has good contact.

Checked ground, 0.06 ohm, which I think is great. Now I'm really lost.

Checked "continuity" on both wires, seems fine... If my problem was the igniter, T2 wouldn't work too?
I had an idea. Can I cut the T1 connector and solder the wires with T2? |

I tested my coils, they're all fine. (also tried connecting T1 connector on T2 coil and it won't fire, but if I connect T2 connector on T1 coil, it works).

Here's how you do it, however since you dont have the SST, I would double check the voltage to make sure. IF the voltage is there, then I would say you probably have a bad igniter not firing correctly even though voltage present.
See if any FD owners are near you, ask them to swap a good known igniter and see if that fixes the problem. That's probably the most efficient way to do so. -AzEKnightz https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1334849701 Trailing Side Insert positive voltmeter lead into brown (front rotor trailing) or gray (rear rotor trailing) lead of SST adapter harness and verify meter shows battery voltage. Press tester switch 2 to ON and verify that voltmeter needle moves. Leading Side Insert positive voltmeter lead into black lead of SST adapter harness and verify meter shows battery voltage. Press tester switch 2 to ON and verify that voltmeter needle moves. Replace igniter if it fails any of these tests. |

So by swapping the wiring harness from T2 into T1, it fires. But from T1 to T2, it wont correct? If so, I bet money on the igniter being bad. (after checking the continuity between T1 connector to igniter harness)
