synthetic vs. conventional motor oil...

so what kind of oil does everyone use?

on my motor ive been using Mobile One 10w30, my friend works at walmart so i get 5 quart jugs for $15.88 (yea "oriely's is having a anniversary sale")

what kind of oil filters do you use, ive been using Napa Gold filters (friend discount also) and since i switched ive noticed cleaner oil.

i change my oil every 3000 miles. I would like to do it 2000 miles but synthetic should hold up better, plus since it goes through some, i usually only have to add around a quart after 2000 miles so i get pretty clean oil from 2000-3000 miles anyway...

i want to run 20w50 since it is summertime, but that stuff is so expensive and i cant get that cheaper, i was thinking of switching to royal purple, anyone try that? If i go royal purple i will run 20w50

i kinda wish i was running conventional oil, i would run castrol gtx 20w50 in the summer and 5w20 in the winter and change it every 1500-2000 easy...

i just dont see changing the oil every 2000 miles a neccesity with (good) synthetic oil... anyone else agree?

i'm 200 miles away from my 2500 mark on mobile one 10w-30 with a napa gold filter. I'm sticking with the mobile one and the napa gold, best filter i know of. people suggest changing the oil around 2k because the oil cooler doesn't drain when you change the oil. at least thats the word on the forum.

why don't you use ur NAWS, man?
