switched ing. wires
I worked the car the other day, then I started it and it was idleing at 2k. Then the idle started to bounce up and down. Could switched ing. wires cause this? Or, the gasket inbetween the manifold and the throttlebody being gone cause it?
The car has a pettit street ported engine, with intake, dp, mp, cb, bov, 10mm ing wires, ast, pettit unlimited ecu. That is the majority of it. Eric |
depends on what you did to the car. care to elaborate? what do you mean by "switched ing. wires"? did you get new spark plug wires or switch them between plugs?

ecu may be relearning car. thats whats happening to my car(or so ive been told). did that gasket look bad? its gotta be cheap, might as well replace it.
you can unplug the ecu from the idle air motor to let it idle where you set the idle adjuster screw... |
yes, if you remove the throttle body to access the coils, you might have pinched the throttle body gasket or somehow creating a vacum leak. That could cause an unsteady idle.
