Swapping out clutch parts?

What's the outer part of the clutch? Is it called the cover? Anyways, is it possible to swap out the cover with a diffeent brand cover? I bend the hell out of mine and my buddy has a upgraded clutch sitting around his garage and I was thinking I could just throw his clutch cover on there...........

Is that possible?

I guess it's the pressure plate.......... anyways I've got the act street trip pressure plate with a 6 puck disk if that matters...

I've never seen ACT sell pressure plates by themselves, but you can contact them to find out:

As far as swapping pressure plate. I would assume it would be fine as long as you use a comparable pressure plate type for your application (i.e. Heavy Duty, or Xtreme, etc).

With a 6 puck I would be leary of just slapping any 'ol thing on. I would purchase the correct one.

I found the right one, a new one costs $400. I don't want to pay that so I'll just put my buddies old upgraded pressure plate in there. If I had endless amounts of money then I would just buy a new one but I don't

My buddy has a clutch that's obviously upgraded but there are no names on it. It's a blue clutch. Have you guys ever seen a clutch offered for our cars that is blue in color?
