Surging throttle problem!!!

Someone let me know if this is common on 93 RX7s. I just got my 93 Touring, and it surges forward twice and it surges back ward twice whenever a accelerate or decelerate rapidly.

For example. Driving down the street the forward surging sensation feels like I press on the gas twice before the car moves smoothly, and the backward surging feels like i'm letting go of the gas twice in succession. When the surging happens all I'd be doing at this point is accelerating fast, and lettting go of the gas.

I wanted to know if this could be caused by bad motor mounts. If it's not what else could be doing this??????????????

Try your throttle position sensor. Does this happen on any specific turbo? i.e. at 3k or at 5k or at 7k?

Really a long shot here (ok really long) but did you disable/remove the double throttle?

"The double throttle prevents you from using too much throttle before the car has completely warmed up and can help prevent surging as you open the throttle. But it can also cause boost problems if it fails to fully open once the car has warmed up and it also constricts the intake tract."
