Sunroof pops up??

Has anyone noticed when you close the door the sunroof pops up from the air pressure. Is there something wrong with my sunroof? are all the 3rd gen sunroofs like this?

Cheers

It's by design.

Mahjik is right of course... the air has to escape somewhere or the doors would not close correctly. Every FD I seen with sunroof does the exact same thing.

I dont see why it has to be designed that way. FDs without sunroof, there doors close fine. I'm worried about security issues. I remember with my 2nd gen the sunroof was solid but a friends would pop up like the FD, and you could pry it up and pull the sunroof back by hand. I dont want to try on my FD but I guess if all FDs are the same then I shouldnt be too worried. The alarm i'm getting has microwave sensors anyway.

Cheers

I don't think an average sized person could fit through the opening anyway.

It's cause and effect. The door seals are very thick to minimize wind noise at high speed. Fold a pack of ketchup in half and step on it. Same principle applies to closing the door with the windows up on an FD. If you're worried about security, by a proximity alarm for the car.
