1. it depends, there is a lot of debate about it. You will need an air pump to pass emissions and the cat will last longer with the air pump.

2. Yes, a hi-flow cat is noticeably quieter than a midpipe. It is about the same noise level as a resonated midpipe (rx7store style).

Rynberg..

When you say last longer?? how long is that?? a year or two??
im running a single turbo, and Not sure if Airpump will even go back on.

I am currently running a midpipe. And im starting to get tired of how
******* loud it is. I guess im getting old, I don't want me and my car
to sound so obnoxious.

anyone with 400-500rwhp using a high flow cat??

thanks again..

not really, ive never seen a high HP single turbo car running a hiflo cat, by then you'd move to a straight pipe, and didn't you just crash your car slingshot?

The rx7store resonated midpipe has a Magnaflow muffler in it. It has a bit different tonality but is as quiet as my hi-flow cat was.
