Strange headlight issue

Ok so here's the deal, sometimes my passenger side headlight won't flip up all the way or if it does it goes slower than the other one, it gets dim and my right turn signal and highbeam light are dimly illuminated inside the instrument cluster. Also sometimes I get different combinations such as the headlight going up slowly but then everything being fine. It first happened a year ago but it's been very intermittent, it stopped for months and months and now its back and happening frequently (but not everytime I turn on the headlights). Has anyone run into this before?

i did have the exact same thing happen to the T with mine and it was about 4 yrs ago i can't remember exactly what i did to fix it though. i will try and let you know i don't have it right now so when i get it back ill look again and see what i remember.

actually i didn't get my car back from the shop yet i dropped it off and parts got delayed so i am hoping to get it back within a week or two. but i would double check your fuses make sure there aren't any blown but i don't think that will be your problem. i think it could be in your ground wire. i'll try to get back to you as soon as i do get my car back though

bump, its getting worse!!

Maybe your headlight relay is trying to stay alive. Does hurt to take the fuse out, and use your TNS relay in there and see if your relay is the problem... kind of far fetched but you never know...

I'd bet on a bad ground. Dim dash lights and slow motion are a clue. Voltage is probably feeding back to the dash since the ground has high resistance.

hmm these suggestions seem valid, hopefully I will have time to work on it soon but I'm busy and will just have to drive the car as is for now!

Some things I have noticed:
1. it only affects pass side headlight and nothing in the rear
2. its as though once the headlights are turned on the whole right front lighting system becomes linked (maybe this is why its dim?), when I turn on the turn signal the headlight, turn signal, turn signal indicator, running light, and high beam indicator (in instrument cluster) all blink together (albeit dimly). Also same deal with the highbeams on. Oh and the headlight motor is underpowered, sometimes that headlight can't even make it all the way up and is sleepy.
And the headlight retract switch (without turn on the headlights) works fine, both headlights retract at full speed.

I'm going to test by putting the headlights up with the retractor switch and then hold the headbeams on.

So you got it to work right? I just put in my a/c condensor and receiver dryer again but havnt charged the system yet (its not like i need it hah) Also had some custom brackets made for the rad and am going to get some of those stock rubber insulators for them. Then a powersteering cooler before I modify my new undertray. I'm actually in the 925 bay area.

You have been PM'd

Is your car lowered? Check the upper inside of your wheel well for damage from the tire rubbing. I don't know if a wiring harness runs on the passenger side, but this happened to me on the driver side and caused similar headlight issues.
