Stock twins Gasket

Are the two gaskets that go between the turbos and the mani compleetely necessary? Has anyone used copper ultahight temp RTV for this instead of that pricey gasket?

um....... I highly doubt that rtv will hold up to the heat in that area. I could be wrong, but I would just use a proper gasket.

Copper-based RTV will NOT hold up anywhere near the turbos or downpipe.

I roasted some copper RTV on the cat-downpipe connection in a few weeks - if you put it at the turbos I'm sure the RTV would be smoke before you finished your first drive. We're talking temps in the range of 1200 degrees or more.

No RTV, no JB weld, No Paper gaskets, Nothing but OEW metal ply gaskets will seal that area. If you need gaskets, go to the FS forum. there are plenty of spares out there. Hell I have several sets in my parts box
