Stock Oil pressure gauge is not working
 

Hows everyone doing?
Ok, so My stock oil pressure gauge is ALWAYS at 0. whether im driving or not it's always at 0. im guessing its not supposed to be like that.... so that is why I'm asking.
What can be the problem? and how can I fix this?

search oil pressure sender and you'll find they tend to be the culprit. That or you have a open in the wiring from the sender to the gauge.

The oil pressure sender is located on the driver's side (right side) just below the oil filter pedestal. It should have a single wire lead with a spade connector going to it.
Sometimes the senders have issues and/or the connections get dirty over time due to it's proximity to the oil filter. But in those situations, the gauge will usually give some reading at rpm's above idle. In your case it sounds like the wire may have gotten disconnected or broken. So it might just require cleaning and reattachment.

It's been a while since I've been active on the forum. Has anyone ever found out what makes the FD OEM oil pressure sensors so bad? When I rebuilt my engine, I put a new sensor in, and it worked about 1 month.........next oil change no gots. The sensors have some sort of failure mode. Now, on aircraft I work on, some have a 2 wire harness in order to get a good DIRECT ground. Also they are NEVER located hard mounted on the engines, always via a hose (for vibration isolation).
I was thinking that in the past couple of years someone engineered a good sensor? YES? NO?

The stock sensor works great when remote mounted. I have mine located behind the shock tower using an AN-3 kelvar braided hose,
