Stock Airbox to Turbo Hoses - Samco or Hard pipes???

Hey Fellas..

I just wanted to know what would be better or more durable...

The Samco hoses or the polished hard pipes (or keep the stock rubber pipes) for the Stock Airbox hoses to the turbos.

I would like your inputs...

Thanks in advance....:icon_tup: :icon_tup: :)

The stock hoses/pipes from the airbox to turbos have a little restriction once Hp levels are bumped up.

For a first mod it would be money poorly spent.

The stock hoses are probably the least restrictive part of the stock airbox. The box itself can be easily modified to flow better than any other cold air intake. PM me if you would like to purchase a kit to modify your box. Only $80 (Cheap) :D

No one makes a hard pipe that fits the bottom opening of the airbox to the first turbo. I think the old M2 pipes fit but that is about it. If you get one of the pipe kits from any of the vendors or ebay expect to do a lot of cutting and cursing to try and make it work. Most vendors won't tell you that unfortunately. Search for old posts on 'hard pipes' to see people's experiences.

Given the above, I'd probably try some silicon hose on the bottom opening to try and get it to fit. Much easier to cut silicon than aluminum and there is some flex that you might need to make fitting easier.

I also think that the stock airbox performs very well, flows lots of air and doesn't heat soak since its made of plastic.
