Steering wheel too big, no tilt???
I just got my 7 yesterday and I've been driving it around everywhere :D
So far the only problem I have w/ the ergonomics is that the wheel is so low it pushes against my knees when I try to position my right foot for a heel-toe on quick decelerations. I don't even know if the stock wheel has tilt (I did a quick check while driving, but couldn't find a lever). Anyone have any suggestions? Jason P.S. I'm kind of a big guy (6'1) |
your outta luck there is no wheel tilt for the fd. your best best is to get an aftermarket wheel.

Yeah get a aftermarket wheel, I think they're called "D-cut" wheels but I could be wrong. They have a flat bottom which gives you a little more room.
Although I know I am 6'1" and it's cramped inside but it's not too bad. I am usually comfortable with my stock steering wheel. |
I think sparco has a wheel extension, which would move the wheel away from your knees, thats what I'm going to do.

I bolted a corbeau seat right to the floor, that dropped me far enough down that the stock wheel does not hit my legs anymore, and I can also fit in there with a helmet on.

If you get a smaller wheel, check to make sure that it doesn't block your line of sight to the gauges.

I'm 5'10" with long legs and short arms hehe, so my knees rub against the steering wheel too.. :( Ah well thats what you get with this kinda car.. :)

used to have the same problem, not any more
sparco spacer + momo spacer + momo 300mm steeringwheel used to have a 280mm steeringwheel, way too small. |
