$175 is way too much for either hub.

Not sure of the exact model, but I have the Daikei hub with the cruise control buttons. The buttons are on top of the hub and it has the 3 buttons like stock. Inside is a plug that plugs right into the connector for the factory cruise control. Works great.

The general quality of the Daikei hub is excellent, it is nice and sturdy, fits right, the horn and turn signal cancelling work, etc. I've seen some cheap hubs that made the steering wheel feel flimsy, that's definitely something you don't want.

I use the Momo for the 1st/2nd gen Miata. Works perfectly and has the airbag defeat built in.

I just installed the works bell in my car, it looks great and was super easy, no drama. As I said before, the works bell was only $90 shipped from japan. after you install it you wont even look at it anymore

I have the Daikei and everything is still functional, horn, spring return, etc. Never installed the Works Bell so can't comment.

bought a Works Bell Short Boss Kit for Rapfix - 910S from RHDJapan ($123) and it worked very well. Easy to install, signal stalks, horn, everything works. My only slight complaint is the boot does not extend 100% down the steering column, there's a tiny bit of it exposed, around 1/2 an inch.

so basically...one or the other, whatever you think looks best haha

I now remember that I chose the Daikei over the Works Bell was because of using a Nardi steering wheel. The Works Bell has the Momo bolt pattern and requires and adaptor that adds about 1/4", being short and sitting close to the wheel already I didn't want the steering wheel any closer. The Daikei has both bolt patterns for Momo or Nardi.

Both correct. The short Works Bell requires an adapter to fit a Nardi while the standard length Works Bell does not.

I ordered the Daikei. My only reason was because I read there were quality issues with Works Bell hubs in the past, although that has since been resolved. Otherwise I was trying to find reasons to lean one way or another and that was the only one.

Received the Daikei hub today...not too crazy about the gloss black wrinkle finish on the plastic hub cover. The color and texture don't match the OEM plastics as well as the Works Bell cover seems to. I might just say screw it and leave the stock steering wheel as is...

Can anyone point me to a steering wheel hub buying guide of sorts? Just basic considerations(such as pros and cons of different steering wheel and hub types, usage of adapters, durability, etc.)? I searched on the forums but didn't find too much.

OP did the features you require influence your hub decision or did the wheel you wanted to use play a bigger part in the decision making process? I'd think the features but I don't want to assume.

An update in case anyone is interested...I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to things like this, so I set out to address it. I couldn't source an extra cover on its own so I bought the cheapest genuine Daikei hub I could find in order to have the exact same material to mess with. I was prepared to try a few different things, but my first method produced an ideal result. I hit the cover with 0000-grade steel wool which not only removed the gloss coating but also softened the texture itself. The result is a near-perfect match to the OEM plastic column cover.

Anyone have any experience with the FEED hub. I'm currently considering that one... better jdm options? A thing more purist? Any info is appreciated

K!NCH asked for pics of this, and since you can't attach pics in PMs...pics attached for anyone else interested as well. I ended up buying the Works Bell also to compare...stuck with the Daikei. Would prefer there was no way around it really with either of them.
