Steering wheel hub adapter?

So, I want to get this one based on the recommendations on here, but it's back ordered.

Does anyone else know of a hub adapter that keeps the horn and signals working and keep the airbag light off?

That one there is the one you want.

im in the same boat, anywhere else to get it?

brent_strong 02-26-07 12:32 AM

I'll be calling tomorrow to ask for the backorder status.

gracer7-rx7 02-26-07 10:31 AM

Thats where I got mine. Its worth the wait. :)

Farnk 02-26-07 12:17 PM

Im worried, all the things i bought for my car were on backorder when i tried to order them, they said 3 weeks itl be in stock for 6 months, till i decided fk it and got something else, usually how it went.

brent_strong 02-26-07 02:16 PM

Didn't get anyone on the phone the first time I called, sent an email and I haven't heard back yet. This isn't looking promising.

Farnk 02-26-07 05:45 PM

anyone have any information on that one or anything? all i know about it is that its a hub.

foursquarejibber 02-26-07 06:23 PM

WorksBell has them that does everything you need. They have a short and long version, I have the short one w/ a Prodrive quick release.

Farnk 02-26-07 07:41 PM

stupid question but which one would work?

I dont really need a quick release.

brent_strong 02-27-07 10:45 AM

The parts guy says that "they're on their way". I asked if a week or so was a reasonable estimate and he seemed to think that it was.

DomFD3S 02-27-07 10:51 AM

They probably can't tell you, because they are ordering through a distributor. And if their distributor doesn't stock it...the retailer is forced to tell you it's delayed.

They can't charge you until the part is shipped. If it has shipped, have them tell you the method of shipping and determine what the reasonable shipping times are (UPS, USPS, etc.). The shipping companies all state how long a package will take. And obtain a tracking number.

Anything else, is bullshit in my opinion. If I owned a company, I would just provide a tracking number to the customer. It eliminates bullshit, hassles, and headaches.

brent_strong 02-27-07 11:28 AM

Well, I haven't ordered anything yet, so I'm safe. Got a thread on a miata forum asking for an equivalent hub. We'll see if anything comes of it.

If you dont need a quick release, get the long version about $125 or so. Contact Ed at Evasive Motorsports and tell him that Jon w/ the red FD sent you and he'll take care of you guys. 909-468-5552 Let him know you want the Works Bell Hub.

I just used the Momo hub with my Momo steering wheel. I just hard wired in the horns and removed the airbag light from the gauge cluster.

93FDADR 02-27-07 10:06 PM

i have that hub, works flawless with my momo
