Steel motor mount arms

Recently installed irperformance motor mounts and got rid of the aluminum driver side arm and installed another passenger side steel arm on driver side but since the aluminum are bolted back farther than the steel arm now my motor is sitting slightly angled more to the driver side. Should I have bought a steel driver side a instead of a steel passenger side arm to use on driver side so my motor would still sit straight?

the 93-94 cars had the AL arm from the factory, and the 95 and all the replacements are iron.

so if you bought 2 new mounts from Mazda, they would both be iron.

and B i'm not sure the engine sits straight anyways. the FB and FC both have the engine pointed to the left slightly to clear the steering column on an RHD car

I know everything you just said but what I'm asking is are the driver and passenger steal motor mount arms the same in design or are they different on each side

If you use an aluminum arm you need to machine the bottom flat. I prefer to use two steel arms as they are stronger.

I've got the same question. Has anyone actually compared a '95 steel driver arm against a '93/'94 steel passanger arm? The steel passanger arm seems dimensionally different from the AL arm, but i can't tell for sure w/o comparing against a '95 arm.

If folks are using '93//'94 passanger arms on the driver side with no ill effects (even if it may be different), I guess there's really no overall issue

the engine is supposed to sit closer to the drivers side. They're like that from the factory....It's just less noticed when everything is installed.
