starting problems
 

have 94 rx-7 t-78 single
when i turn key on everything cuts on fuel pump computer gauges but all it will do is turn over wont fire up.
have haltec e6k online says evrything is fine no faults
have checked all fuses and relays and all are good map sensor fine all hoses hooked up.just changed spark plugs.
and the overheat exhaust light is on. when this light came on is when it started this problem?? its like its not firing?? any help

car has not been started in 1 week so its not overheated

If all the lights dim when you turn the key (I presume that is what you mean by "everything cuts on fuel pump computer gauges" - what's a fuel pump computer gauge?) it means that the starter solenoid is working and that the starter is getting current but is not turning over.

You need a new starter.

Have you checked the compression?


And I don't know much about haltech's but I'm sure there is a way to check fuel, spark, and timing.... I would try that to :)

i found the problem.
light was on till i got my father in law to tow me down the road and poped the clutch.
the car was so flooded it would not start even with new sparkplugs
so its running now.
just a little lean tho need some tunning done
