Starter motor - where to buy new/rebuilt?
My starter motor is pretty much dead so I am probably going to buy a new/rebuilt one (unless I can find a used one for very little money). Rebuilt ones seem to be about $130 or so with core but I found a new one here for $125. It's brand is NSA, which I have never heard of. Anybody have an experience with this starter?

Look up starters and alternators in the yellow pages. These guys will usually rebuild them for less than 1/2 of the cheapest autozone reman. We have used 1 alt/start rebuild shop here exclusively for the past 6 years. To date, I have never seen one come back or have even heard of one going back for a job they did. Plus they can usually rebuild it and have it ready to pick up in less than an hour.

If you're on a budget, getting the starter rebuilt is a good option. The good thing is you can change the starter out pretty quickly and easily, so if that doesn't work out it's not like you have a giant pain in the ass to reinstall it.
