St. May's Shotgun Exhaust
Idk if this is the correct section or not, but i looked and couldnt find an appropriate exhaust section. Where can i find this exhaust? i've looked almost everywhere that i can think of and still have had no luck. Any help would be great. Thanks.

They are not made any longer. You'll have to keep an active search on eBay or on this site for when they pop up.

I made sure to get mine as soon as i saw one available:)

[img][https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=298959&d=1212395327[/img] Sometimes I want to model my FD after his...It looks so friggin nice. The St. May's Shotgun Exhaust is probably the ONLY exhaust I would ever replace my Racing Beat with. I just like the RB because of the larger than stock look, but it's still very sleeper-ish. |
Ill see if I can make a clip later today or tomorrow. In my opinion it sounds amazing. Really deep and quiet. Well it was quiet, ever since I went single turbo the car got so much louder haha.

It really wouldn't be that hard to make your own, or even a better one. Why don't you just make your own? Or buy some mufflers and have a muffler shop weld it up like a replica.
(2) Magnaflow 4" resonators 18" in length with 2.5" inlet and outlet. Weld on some 3" tips and you got yourself a replica. |
i know that my friend has 1... no clue if he is gunna sell it
look him up his name is "ryuji" |
I honestly don't know why all of a sudden everyone wants one of these exhausts. There was a point in time a few years ago where there was a closeout of these for 1/2 retail and they sat on ebay forever.

A guy in the Bay Area has one.
They sound more like N1 duals than a Racing Beat twin tip. |
Idk if i want one or not. the Racing Beat is REALLY quiet, but i like the look of the large dual tips. I might just wait til later and make my own exhaust. I wish these cars wouldve kept the dual exhaust like FC's

They are in the middle between the N1 duals and the Racing Beat. It's not nearly as loud or has the "tin" distinctive type sound of the N1 duals (when someone is running the N1 duals, you know it as it has a distinct type of sound and it drones like mad). The St. May's is quite a bit louder than the RB Duals but still has a fairly deep sound. IMO, it's aggressive looking and sounding without going overboard like most of the Apexi exhausts.

:icon_tdow have you ever seen an FD with duals? it the looks like udder POO POO. the lines on an FD and with a dual set up make the rear end not look right IMO.
|
I've heard mahjik's car in person and the exhaust does sound good. I'm pretty sure he was running a mid-pipe at the time and it still wasn't too loud. It also looks really nice with his rear diffuser. If I was a fan of twin-tip exhausts I would've looked for one myself.
