this has probably been answered but im not gonna search all 40,000 pages on the SSQV...so flame away but, since obviously we have stock twins, instead of running two SSQV's could i Y pipe both BOV hoses into the SSQV? common sense is telling me yes since it's just air rushing out but you guys know these cars a hell of a lot better then I do. Also I didn't get the one specifically for our cars because I found a universal one for $100 brand new and ours ranges anywhere from $200-$340 on EBAY

I don't know exactly what are you asking, but if you got HKS Bov, then you should only replace it with the one closer to the front of the engine. The second bov, you don't want to touch, because it doesn't act the same as the first one. It is also called CRV and since we have a Sequential twin turbos, that one needs to be left alone if you want to have proper 2ndary boost.

I think I've figured out your problem, after realizing what SSQV stands for. Some of us just aren't in the know for acronyms of that nature.

You don't run two blow off valves on the stock setup. That is ridiculous. The other valve you are referring too is not considered a BOV; they call it a Charge Control Valve (I think). Don't eliminate it.

My friend has two BOVs but they are both welded on to his aluminum IC piping. Looks pretty bling-bling but is over-kill from a functional standpoint. The previous owner, who sold him the car, was a little vain on that note.

If you didn't get a BOV that is flanged for our car it is going to be a bitch installing that sucker. Good luck.

Hey, at least you didn't eliminate it and you knew it was a valve. Two years ago, when I knew nothing, I eliminated it, a relocation of sorts on to my garage floor. I wasn't getting any boost but it ended up being a blessing. I had a down pipe, mid pipe, cat-back and intake installed so my engine probably would have started getting boost spikes and then *poof* there goes my apex seals relocated onto the pavement. But since I wasn't getting any boost, the problem was avoided. Bryan at rotorsports had a good laugh on account of my "boost problem".

yeah i have all the same mods done and i'm sure to never "get on it" until i get my MBC...I know a good deal about the turbo world i made a custom kit for my turbo integra but i don't know the first thing about rotaries

Garret, Are you sure your freind has 2 BOV's welded on his manifold or is one a BOV and one a pop-off valve ?

They are not welded on the manifold. I really don't know of anyone who has welded a BOV on the UIM or the LIM.

He has them welded on IC piping; one before the IC and one after. He has a Blitz front mount so it has symmetry to it. Like I said before, he didn't do it, the guy who owned the car before him didn't it. He has kept it because it doesn't look half bad and doesn't want to cut a block off plate for the hole if he eliminates one of them.

Ahh intercooler piping yes, I read that wrong, I still think one of them must be a pop-off valve not a BOV...

I promise he has two Greddy type S Blow off valves. We just both put his engine in ourselves 2 weeks ago and there was no pop off valve involved.

Umm Okayy, I just figured it must have been a pop-off valve because 2 BOV is going to do nothing more than 1, they will both release pressure at the exact same time...unless you had like the type S and the ssqv that might sound kinda cool...

My above post covered the notion of the BOVs doing nothing. I said it was overkill from a functional standpoint. He has two BOVs and that is all, it is pointless.

A pop off valve would be cool but his wastegate coupled with an electronic boost controller does the job controlling excess boost.
