spun barring

I was tuning my car and spun a barring today. I think it was to hot out to be tuning anyways. Would the heat play a big factor on why it spun? I had 20-50 castrol oil. I heard that mazda has had a problem with their barrings. has anyone none of anyone having a problem spining barrings?

Assuming you mean bearing, I think you'll have to be a little more specific...

E-shaft bearing, the only two bearings in our motors I do beleive. How much more specific do you need?

There's four; one in each rotor and one in each stationary gear. What symptoms are your seeing?

villision 1revin7 06-25-05 11:24 PM

Yes I do mean bearing I think it was my front one that is which I am hopeing. Started to hear a funny noise like one of my tubo compreser wheels let go. drained the oil pulled out a few chips on a magnet from the oil pan. Think we found the problem early, becouse there were verry little chips hardly any some were from motor break in. What do you guys think?

I'm voting for the front bearing, plus the metal shavings were copper weren't they? Also you could feel the pulsing through the clutch and shifter, Zavier said his felt the same way when his bearings went.

Were you monitoring your oil pressure? What was it at?

my oil preasure gage was reading a little low, But the car was full of oil check it before I tuned. I think my stock gage is a little off. I am going to have to get me a oil gage
