Speedometer question

I have a 1993 rx-7, I havent really had the thing running and driving yet, but I figure that the speedometer should move up even slightly while Im moving slow but it doesnt. I rewired the whole dash myself including a new plug for the speedo/odometer harness and everything else works including the odometer. any ideas? Is there a usual delay in the rx7 from the time you start moving to the time it registers on the speedometer? I may just be jumping the gun but I dont want to take the car out the first day and have to bring ir back in an rip the cluster apart. Any advice would be helpful

...notice that too, but since I put in my Ultra Speed meter, i can see exactly how fast I'm going. It's accurate too(got a radar gun out to see for sure). It's only 5 wires too(ignition, power, ground, an in from the transmission, and an out to the Power FC.

...the downside is that my power fc now reads 0 kph though.

...neat little thing, reads speed, tracks mileage, and does a 0-400 m time.
