easiest way is from underneath the car...

RE Suzuki 11-05-05 04:43 PM

add to Kai's comment, get a short socket wrench. That will help you as well.

welcome to the rest of your life!i'd shake your hand but i have grease on mine..imagine that..good luck my man..you are now addicted to mazda!

Veger 11-05-05 05:20 PM

oh you gonna have so much love and hate.
Only had mine 3 months and spent every penny i have on it.
Its like haveing one of those beutifull but very high maintenence women.

I've found a placing u-joint attachment on the socket can help reach some of the plugs. I do mine from above. Once you figure out which extensions to use where, it isn't too bad, as long as you don't have pop-eye forearms.

Definately easiest from the bottom of the car. I like to use a stubby wratchet with a swivel head.

Sgtblue 11-05-05 08:13 PM

It isn't a bad job either way, but if you've got a jack and stands, I think it's easiest from below. Just use some anti-seize if you ever want to change them again. :)

i used to think it would be hard as hell to change plugs on the 7. but seriously, once u get under the car you will see exactly where everything goes.

just wondering, did you try a search on this? This is probably the most common question on this forum. Let me give you some advice, if you want to learn and not get guerilla flamed all the time, do a search before you post. Search the archives, if you still can't find what your looking for, then post. Newbies need to read the FAQ and then proceed to search(don't be lazy), then proceed to ask. Thanx.

lol he has one post, he prob hasent even noticed the search feature.

toyzRus 11-06-05 09:15 AM

WELL I WISH I WAS THAT LUCKY I GOT A FREAKKING GIRLFRIEND, i cant even buy myself a TD04R Turbo kit :[[[[[
all for just this :bj: :bj: :bj: :bj:

TwinTurbo93 11-06-05 08:12 PM

and you can get them for good price at sparkplugs.com, buy few sets and change them pretty often, not like you'd do on a honda or toyota!

BTW, welcome to the board and enjoy your car...

You will need to buy some tools if you already don't have any but the most important one is the SEARCH tool in this forum...

:peace:
