spark plugs
Whats up guys,
I need to get my spark plugs changed and I searched the forums and found out that NKG BR9EQ14s were one of the best. My dad went to pick up the plugs yesterday at they asked him what type, they were saying that he needed to get 2 different set of plugs. Do you guys know what type of plugs I need to get? I have 1994 R2 with a few mods greddy intercooler interceptor II (ECU) turbo back exhaust Thanks |
Since your pretty close to stock, the stock plug set up would work good for you. That would be 7's for leading and 9's for trailing... If you went 9's all around you would foul them out too quick..

Thanks alot Cgotto6, I am sorry but I am not to familiar with the leading and trailing concept. Is leading the top to plugs? If I did go with 9's all around how long do you think they would last?
Thanks again |
T = top = Trailing
L = lower = Leading Check out the FAQ, alot of good info there. |
Take a read here:
http://www.fd3s.net/ignition_install.html Leading is bottom, trailing is top. If you run a colder plug than you should, you'll foul them quicker and it will effect your gas mileage. Unless you have a "need" to run colder plugs all around, run the Mazda stock 7's leading, 9's trailing. |
I have a lot more mods than you do and I foul out plug as soon as 2000-4000mi.
