Spark plug help
 

Ok, so I am going to buy some new plugs because mine got flooded (paint and body work was being done and sat for a while....and so on) well i was thinking that why not use four #9 plugs. I dont have much in my car right now (rev limiter, exhaust, pulleys, e-manage blue, intake) so i dont think i need the four #9 plugs right now but was wondering if it would be bad to use them with what i currently have. I dont have major plans right now either except for a boost controller, some ecu tuning, intercooler + bov)

just curious as to what you guys think.

It wouldnt hurt to run BUR9EQs in all four holes.

perhaps the HKS twin power? i think i might need to get one... (see my current spark plug problem thread)

thought that ignition break up only happened after exceeding 12psi, why would he need that

well i do plan on turning up my boost. not much....maybe around 12 or so. i will see how my car is coming along and then decide to turn up the boost some more or whatnot.

In my experience 9's will tend to foul quicker and make for harder starts. With your mods IMO stay with 7s and 9s. A couple of plugs don't cost that much. WHEN you increase boost, then you can add the other two 9s.

well i am planning on raising the boost a little and doing some other stuff during the christmas holidays.

So i was trying to find the best ignition wires for the car and and really leaning towards the NGK Power Cables. What do you guys think about these wires? Will they conflict with the Denso plugs?

They are 7mm though and I was really looking for something bigger but if these also have low resistance so im stuck.

One more question: The set comes with the 4 wires, what about the coil wire?

There is a downloadable Factory Service Manual at the top of this section. It will help explain things regarding the coil wire.
As for conflicting with Denso plugs...the numbers mentioned by Goodfella and myself were for (stock) NGKs.

oh, well i got a good deal on the four Denso #9's so I couldnt pass it up. Cost me $25 for the four new Denso's. Will these be a problem?

densos are sorry pieces of shit u got no deal son. stick with 7 and 9 unless you want to replace your plugs more often than you would have to otherwise.
