Source for fd stock-size & slotted rear rotors for the track?
 

Anybody know a good online source for rear rotors for an fd? This is primarily for HPDE track duty to complement slotted brembo's in front. Everybody seems to be advising to get the cheapest rotors possible for the back since most of the braking is done up front. However, I'd like it to visually match the front, and a brand-name like brembo would make me feel better considering it is a pretty critical part of the car...

EDIT : Gotham is out of their rear slotted rotors, and I'd like something cheaper than rx7store.net.

I've known a few track guys to use them and seems to really like them. I have no personal experience with them, but I think I will be trying them out on my next rotor change.

Cool... I've heard good things about powerslot too, $135 per rotor (cadmium plated) vs. rx7store.net $90 per rotor for brembos (zinc plated). I wonder if there is any difference in stopping rust?

Too bad they don't have ducting for the fd front brakes, that's next on my list of upgrades...

I run the Power Slot rotors on the front of my FB. I've never tracked the car, but I was impressed with them and how they kept their clean look. Haven't warped them yet either.

Around the perimeter I would expect the cad plating to hold up better. The friction surfaces of course have no coating in use. But it's a track rotor, not sure why the rust is such a big deal.

If somehow the rust is a cooling issue, it's probably cheaper to have it sandblasted in the vents before each trackday.

You can try contacting Nick at N-Tech to see if he has any backing plates left. If there is enough interest, he might do another run of them but I don't know how many orders he needs to do a run.

The last I emailed with him he had one set left over from the last group buy, but that was probably a year or two ago so I'm sure its gone by now. ;)

No idea how good these are.

It isn't a big deal, but I drive to and from the track and the occasional weekend in the car so I'd rather the non-friction surface didn't get discolored and rusted. Assuming the rotors last for more than one weekend at the track. Since these are rear rotors that seems like a fairly safe assumption (I'd rather not have to change them when I change pads at the track).

irotors.com also has good pricing, but they won't specify who actually makes their rotors. At one point I was told they were Brembo. Nice thing is they include zinc plating.
