hahaha flame retardant... little overkill for my application, think i'll stick with silicone wrap.

so what's with those pedals? looks like they're remotely operated with hydraulics...

if these questions have all been answered sorry and just link me to the other thread where they are.

The beast is pulling up a strange website????

It appears that you are friends with the owner of the car, can you have him check his pm please? Or is it better for me to email his shop? Do you have any info on the pedals installed?

Great project and again, great job on the wiring, looks fun.

audiobot7 03-20-06 10:15 AM

What kit is that?

Sorry if I didn't respond. I'm running 2 businesses and it's very hard for me. Dubulup is helping me with..., well he's doing eveything!

The pedal set is from Tilton engineering. It took me a long time to get one. They say I have the first one they made. There's others out there but for some reason none of them have a 3 pedal set. I do have a 2 pedal set if anyone wnats to buy tem. You will need to use your stock gas pedal.

If you're the guy that asked me how much would it cost to smooth out the engine bay, it's not worth the money. I know it looks like the seams have been bondoed over and painted, but no. All seams have been welded, not spot welded, but completely welded. It does not have bondo. Bondo is a plastic filler, we used a alumumium filler so it doesn't crack under high temps. All together we added 20lbs to do the entire car. Not too bad considering we lost more than that per seat.

Hidden battery cutoff switch, removable steering wheel, fuel cutoff switch, ign cutoff switch, nothing is going to be labled.

It's going to be a little difficult to steal the car. Well, unless they tow it. Damn it.

Just get single lug wheels, and a built in air jack system like supergt cars. take off your wheels when your not driving :pokeowned

Yes I am the guy that PM'd you about the labor, why do you say that it is not worth it, because of labor cost (amount of time)?

Yeah, labor cost and amount of time. I guess a shop can do it in about a week but I don't know what shop would do such work. Maybe if you learned how to weld and did it yourself, you might save lots of money. Time is the biggest factor.

Thank you for explaining and I appreciate the advice.

The cost of materials...pretty much everything is made in house.

fastcarfreak 03-21-06 07:39 AM

very nice job guys. The car looks like it will be a really clean race car when its done. Im wondering what your power and weight goals are for this car though. Also, is this car going to be used for drag racing, tracking, or both?

pics of the car as a whole would be pretty cool too :)

dubulup 03-21-06 09:18 AM
