Some problems

Hey guys I need some help/advice. I had my interior apart for a week getting some work done to the ugly scratched up plastics. I got everything back last night and put it all back in.
This morning I started my car and let it warm up before leaving for work but when I got in to leave I noticed that none of my gauges (RPM, oil pressure, water temp, odometer) were working.

Is it possible that I plugged the prongs in the wrong places?

Oh an after I shut my car off I tried to fire it back up and it woudn't start.

What the HELL happened?????

The switches aren't plugged in properly, or they were manhandled when being plugged in or unplugged and the board cracked.

Could it be that a fuse just blew? I don't know if there is a fuse for the console but its worth checking out.

I sure hope I didn't crack the board, I wasn't forcing them that much. I will check it out later this afternoon but for now I am stuck at work pissed off for another 7 hours.

I'm looking at a wiring diagram and it is showing 4 plugs that go to the back of the cluster. The diagram is for a 94 and I have a 93, can anyone tell me if they are the same? If they are then my dumbass missed a plug that must have been hiding from me.

IIRC, there were 7 or 8 (incl the cruise control connector) connectors on the back of the cluster that had to be disconnected and reconnected.

This link to temp gauge linearization describes pulling the cluster:

Link doesn't work

Yeah - I just found that out. Sorry.

Try this one and look for the linearization topic (topic # 2).

Well that explains it. I missed a damn plug. I pray I didn't screw anything up by pluging one of them in the wrong place.

Thanks!

I figured that might have been what you did - I missed plugging the cruise-control plug (it was the 8th plug, and the link mentioned only 7) back in when I had the cluster out to linearize the temp gauge.

IIRC, it was pretty easy to get themplugged into the right places. Good luck!
